Naturopathic advice - individual & holistic

My naturopathic consultations begin with a first assessment, which usually take 1.5 - 2 hours. This detailed questioning, along with a diagnosis of the tongue, pulse and iris, allow me to obtain as complete a picture as possible of someone’s state of health and wellbeing. On the basis of this picture I create a personalized therapy program based on TEN.

I help my client understand why their body reacts in certain ways and together we work to strengthen their relationship with their body. I use western herbs in the form of tea and/or tinctures to restore balance and alleviate any symptoms. A particular mixture of herbs is as individual as each person. The number of follow-up sessions depends on the condition and healing progress of each person.

Massage

Massage

When I massage someone, I use various elements of rhythmic massage, which stimulates our body’s rhythmic systems (such as breathing and circulation). My method of massage is therefore gentle and pain free. I am convinced that this type of massage has deeper and longer lasting effects. As a very sensitive person, I have “feeling” hands that tell me where a muscle is tense, where the body needs more energy, etc.

Cupping

Cupping, cupping glass massage

Cupping activates blood circulation and therefore, also provides nutrition to the tissue. The activation of the lymphatic system supports the removal of waste products and influences the body’s PH level. Cupping can be done in two ways:

  • Local: e.g. to release tense muscles
  • Reflective: as a stimulus for a part of the body that we cannot reach manually (e.g. activation of the liver)
Foot reflexology massage

Foot reflexology massage

The entire body is reflected in the foot. A reflexology massage of the feet can calm overactive areas in the body and stimulate those with energy deficiencies. Through the nerves in the feet, it can also have a reflective effect on organs that we cannot reach manually. This method is suitable for both pain relief and as a preventative measure, which activates the body’s self-healing powers.

Lifestyle

Lifestyle

In order to bring someone back into balance, I look at the different aspects of their life:

  • food and drink
  • work and rest
  • sleeping and waking
  • light and air
  • secretion and excretion
  • stimulation of the mind
Nutrition

Nutritional counselling

Diets, rules, tips... dos and don'ts – everyone who has ever looked into the subject of healthy eating knows how many different opinions are out there. From a naturopathic point of view, there is no absolute, general rule on what constitutes “healthy food”.

I base my counselling around one general principle: the more natural, the better. When counselling someone on nutrition, it is important to work with the person to find the right kind of nutrition for that particular individual and their constitution.
